The Adelaide Adrenaline backed up their 7-2 win on Saturday with a very comprehensive 8-3 win early Sunday morning  at Acacia Ridge Ice World in Brisbane. Gabby Aston opened the scoring less than 3 minutes into the game as she wired a  wrist shot from the side boards beating Goanna keeper Kristy Bruske just under the crossbar and igniting the Adelaide bench.

Adelaide would dominate the remainder of the period and with Andrea Steranko scoring on a solo effort the visitors would enjoy a 2-0 lead until Natasha Farrier scored for the home side cutting the lead to 2-1 after the first period of play. Adelaide started the second period with a flurry and Kate Tihema scored on a goalmouth scramble to make it 3-1 before Farrier scored once again cutting the lead to 3-2 but with the visitors peppering Bruske time and time again they were only able to find the net 1 more time with Beth Kavanagh scoring on a solo breakaway with .13 seconds left making it 4-2 after 2 periods of play.

The Third period once again saw the Adrenaline with some early pressure and Steraranko once again scored on a solo effort to make it 5-2 before Sari Lehman scored on a shot from the point to put the game out of reach at 6-2 but the Goannas kept fighting and Farrier scored her hat trick goal making it 6-3 before Lehman chipped in with her second of the period followed by Steranko with her hat trick goal making it an 8-3 final.
